Features
Flexible cabin space
Need more space? No problem. With more rear-cabin room than any aircraft in its class and removable seats, the Bell 505 adapts to you, not the other way around.
Your Bell 505 Your Way
With a choice of three interior colours – upgrades to the aircraft include the addition of new carpeting throughout the cabin and baggage bay, and additional storage boxes for greater convenience. All of these enhancements can be professionally carried out at Helix Av.
Load With ease
The double doors on the Bell 505 let you load and unload
All Glass Avionics
See all your avionics in one place. The Garmin G1000 shows critical flight data, and a moving map display. So you can make decisions at the speed of flight.
Efficient Engine Power
The only dual-channel engine in its class. For more power at altitude, better hot and high performance and superior fuel efficiency-every time you fly.
High inertia rotor system
Our two-bladed rotor system with a higher inertia adds an excellent auto-rotational capability. It gives you a powerful lift without any excess drag.

The Bell 505 X
The 505 is a multi-mission capable with exceptional performance characteristics, a dual channel FADEC Turbomeca Arrius 2R engine and best-in-class value.
The Bell 505 is now UK CAA Certified on the Garmin GFC600H Autopilot as well as the Genesys HeliSAS Autopilot. The system decreases pilot workload, increases pilot comfort over long distances, and provides assistance in the event of inadvertent Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC). It is available in two or three-axis configurations: the two-axis pitch control (Altitude Hold, IAS Hold) and roll control (HDG Hold, NAV, Vertical Navigation Mode), and the three-axis option adds yaw control.
In Addition, the system is equipped with:
- Stability augmentation system to automatically recover the aircraft to near-level flight attitude at all speeds in the event of adverse roll or pitch
- Stability engagement throughout all phases or flight
- Envelope protection to prevent over speeding and under speeding
